Kinja'd!!!

It looked just like this, but, it actually moved under its own power and on public roads.  Can’t say I’ve seen one before, or if I did, I don’t remember it.

Brown, 5-speed, hatchback. Nice. We had a white, Pontiac J2000 wagon for awhile when I was growing up.  Not sure what year...

I believe that’s the same as the Tercel and Chevy Nova

It’s actually a Chevette under all the Pontiac badging. Derived from the earlier Canadian-market Pontiac Acadian.

Oh so that’s RWD. I was way off apparently there wasn’t even a Pontiac version of the later car that I was thinking of.

the only one of these abortions i ever had that was any good was a first year manual, NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE, it was fun to drive on country roads cause it handled well, and the gutless engine was bullet proof, probably why a briggs and stratten is, over built for the miniscule power, but the automatic IS NOT AN OPTION!
